Notices governing use of Basis (basis.watch). $BASIS is live on Base; there is no custody, and nothing here is investment, yield, or guaranteed earnings.
Nature of the service
Basis is a Base-native inference network providing an OpenAI-compatible API, worker coordination, and inference accounting. Content and software are provided for informational and technical purposes only. Nothing on this site is financial, investment, legal, accounting, or tax advice, and nothing is a recommendation or solicitation to buy, sell, or hold any asset.
$BASIS token
$BASIS is a live token on Base used for inference credits, API usage, worker rewards, and settlement accounting. It is not an investment, a security, or a financial instrument, and nothing here is an offer or solicitation to buy, sell, or hold it in any jurisdiction. Holding or using $BASIS carries no investment, no yield, no passive income, no profit sharing, and no guaranteed worker earnings or returns. Paying for credits in $BASIS is not yet enabled — no payment provider is configured — and on-chain worker reward settlement is not yet live; both remain explicit operator actions.
No custody
Basis does not hold custody of user funds or keys. Credit deposits, when enabled, settle to an on-chain contract that the user interacts with directly; the user signs their own transactions.
Worker rewards
Worker rewards are contingent on completed, verified jobs and are computed deterministically from network usage. Failed or rejected jobs produce no payable reward. A valid EVM reward address is required to earn. Reward amounts are not guaranteed and depend on real usage and the published reward formula.
Inference outputs
Model outputs are generated by third-party model runtimes served by independent workers. They may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for a given purpose. You are responsible for how you use outputs. Basis does not warrant the accuracy or fitness of any generated content.
No warranties; limitation of liability
The service and software are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including availability, accuracy, uptime, or fitness for a particular purpose. The inference runtime may be pending or unavailable. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Basis and its contributors are not liable for any loss arising from use of or reliance on the service.
